Recreational opportunities are a very important factor in today’s hectic lifestyle. Whether you are looking for a relaxing game of golf, a fast paced basketball game, or a movie in the park, the DeWitt Area has something for everyone. The area offers a number of parks and recreational facilities within its borders and many more opportunities are located throughout the adjoining communities. The DeWitt Area Recreational Authority (http://www.dewittrecreation.org/) offers a number of recreational programs throughout the year including soccer, basketball, youth camps and programs for seniors. 
Parks • Granger Meadows, a 75 acre facility offering 2.7 miles of paved walking trails, sledding hill, and play areas • Looking Glass Riverfront Park along the banks of the Looking Glass River • McGuire Park located along the banks of the Looking Glass River • Richard a Padgett Natural Area, a 70 acre facility offer walking trails and picnicking areas • Riverside Park located along the banks of the Looking Glass River offer picnicking and play areas • Sports Park, 14.5 acre sports complex with soccer and softball fields • Valley Farms Park includes the Community Center and numerous outdoor play areas
